Härterei Reese Weimar began its operations at the historic Weimar Werk hardening plant in 1992. Since then, the company – a member of the German association of job hardening plants owned by the Reese Group – has made a name for itself as a universal hardening service provider. Thanks to significant investments in modern production equipment and the application of innovative processing and automation technology, Härterei Reese Weimar offers clients a wide spectrum of high-tech heat treatment methods and services integrated into the production process.

The “art of hardening” can only be achieved by combining traditional heat treatment methods with the newest technological know-how. We comply with the TÜV CERT quality management certification system in the area of “heat treatment of ferrous and non-ferrous materials and materials testing” in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 and DIN EN ISO 9001.
Environment concerns are also important to us. Our production methods are certified by the European environmental management programme EMAS in accordance with EG-VO 761/2001 and DIN EN ISO 14001.

Experience has shown us that the type of heat treatment for certain products is often determined quite late in the construction process. Often this results in wasted effort and expense to correct and refinish the products.
Our experienced engineers and technicians are always happy to provide their expertise and assistance in the development and construction phase, helping customers select the right materials and most suitable heat treatment method for their products.
Our highly qualified materials technicians and a well-equipped materials laboratory for spectral analysis and metallographic testing are the basis of this service. We also carry out material and damage testing at the request of our customers.
